EmpoweRanch Youth Camps & RANCH Kids Programs

EmpoweRanch Youth Camps & RANCH Kids Programs includes EmpoweRanch Fall Adventure Camp, which features equines, ranch animals, outdoor exploration, creative projects, active games, and hands-on adventure. RANCH Kids combines recreation, adventure, nature, character development, and horsemanship in a ranch environment. Other offerings include EmpoweRanch Day Camps, the EmpoweRanch Homeschool Program, THRIVE at EmpoweRanch, Day at the Ranch, VORTEX Veterans Outdoor Recreational Therapy Equine Xperience, and Veterans' Morning at the Ranch.

Programs

• EmpoweRanch Fall Adventure Camp — Children and teens ages 6 through 17; children age 5 may attend with an older sibling · Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. · $525 per week · Five-day camp with equines, ranch animals, outdoor exploration, creative projects, active games, and hands-on adventure. Teen Leadership Development Track available for ages 13 through 17.
• RANCH Kids℠ — Combines recreation, adventure, nature, character development, and horsemanship in a ranch environment.
• EmpoweRanch Day Camps — Day camps for children with social, learning, and behavioral goals, and youth who want to have fun and make new friends.
• EmpoweRanch Homeschool Program — Hands-on learning through horsemanship, ranch life, nature study, outdoor skills, animal care, creativity, and guided exploration.
• THRIVE at EmpoweRanch℠ — Professionally guided equine-assisted learning program for youth focused on teamwork, healthy relationships, resilience, insight, voice, empowerment, confidence, coping skills, and connection.
• Day at the Ranch℠ — Adaptive group experience for educational and therapeutic field trips.
• VORTEX Veterans Outdoor Recreational Therapy Equine Xperience℠ — An eight-week unmounted group program for veterans.
• Veterans' Morning at the Ranch — A relaxed morning to meet the horses and other animals, tour the ranch, enjoy coffee and refreshments, and learn about free programs and veteran resources.

About the provider

Programs are designed and led by Jessica Voss, CTRS, CPRP, CTRI. The team includes trained, experienced professionals, caring community members, and committed students/interns. Jessica Voss is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS), Certified Parks & Recreation Professional (CPRP), PATH certified therapeutic riding instructor (CTRI), and AAEE Certified Environmental Educator. The organization was featured in ABC15 Arizona's 'Helping Kids Go Places' award story. EmpoweRanch provides holistic, inclusive, accessible educational and therapeutic outdoor recreation to improve quality of life for underserved communities in the Phoenix-metro area, especially urban youth and veterans.

Mounted horsemanship experiences are planned after campers complete foundational safety and unmounted instruction. Teen Leadership Development Track is available for ages 13 through 17. Maximum riding weight is 180 pounds. EmpoweRanch does not offer open visiting hours or drop-in access.
