Ascend Dance Academy follows an age-based curriculum with three program levels: the Sprout Program for ages 2–5, the Leap Program for ages 5–7, and the Peak Program for dancers age 7 and up. The Sprout Program for ages 2–5 uses simplified ballet exercises, rhythm patterns, creative play, props, and imagery to support rhythmic and muscular development and explore different dance concepts. The Leap Program for ages 5–7 teaches fundamentals of classical ballet and jazz, introductory terminology, and builds rhythmic and muscular development, and both jazz and ballet are required in this program. The Peak Program for dancers age 7 and up is an all-inclusive program that includes Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Modern, Broadway, Pilates, Tap, and Jazz Funk, and is structured to enable students to excel in multiple genres and enhance performance in all styles of dance. Early Childhood Dance Classes are offered for children ages 2–7.

Ascend Dance Academy offers performances and competitive opportunities, including an annual Nutcracker production and a Spring Recital offered studio-wide. The Peak Company Competition Team is a way for students to perform competitively at events throughout the country and has achieved Top 12 finishes in competition. Peak Company requirements include excellent attendance in technique classes, participation in the Summer Intensive for a minimum of one week, additional open classes, the ability to attend rehearsals on Fridays and/or Saturdays, attendance at four competition or convention weekends in the spring, and wearing an Ascend branded jacket at all events. Students are not considered for solo eligibility until they have completed a minimum of one year on Peak Company in an ensemble.

The studio uses state-of-the-art studios with Sprung Marley floors and is fully Zoom-enabled to support social distancing standards. Ballet classes are based on the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum, and the teachers are American Ballet Theatre Certified. The program describes its approach as all-inclusive programming that produces versatile dancers for today’s changing professional dance world. Ascend Dance Academy states that its mission is to offer kids the opportunity to learn about the beauty of movement, to use an age-based curriculum that prepares students to enter the professional world of dance, to focus on technique and performance training in all dance disciplines with ballet taught by ABT certified teachers, and to aim to instill in students a passion for movement that stays with them their whole lives. The mission also states that the academy is dedicated to helping children express themselves through dance, encourages healthy creativity, and welcomes everyone to explore the benefits of learning dance.
