About the provider

God’s Garden Preschool & Child Development Center opened in the fall of 2000. Michelle Rhodes, PhD, is the director. The mission statement says the program partners with parents to grow the heart, mind, and spirit of the whole child in a Christ-centered environment. The director has a Ph.D. in Early Childhood Education, and teachers are described as highly qualified, professional, educated, and experienced in early childhood education. The program is a ministry of Horizon Church / Horizon Presbyterian Church, and chapel is led bi-monthly by the director, pastor, teachers, and/or volunteers from Horizon Church. Service projects include Transportation Day, Food Drives, Love Up, and Winged Hope.

  • Stay & Play Extended Care — 2 - 6 years

Registration is first come, first served. All parents are required to volunteer 10 hours each year. The school states that all families in the community are served, including those who may believe differently. Prayer is said to start and end the day, as well as before snack and meal times.

What families say

““I’ve sent both of my children to God’s Garden, nearly 7 years apart, and had equally great experiences with both. The teachers are phenomenal – caring and highly educated, and I am impressed with the thought and creativity that goes into their day-to-day activities.”” — Jennifer Lamoreaux.Parents

““God’s Garden Preschool hits all the W’s for me: warm, welcoming and wonderful. My kids enjoyed learning through play. I loved the faith-based curriculum and my husband loved the price. We felt part of a community from the moment we walked in the front doors.”” — Nicole KoesterParents

““Knowing that the early years are so important, we chose God’s Garden because of the quality learning environment to help our child be prepared for kindergarten. The staff provide a loving and nurturing experience and it’s reassuring to know our child is in such great hands!”” — Donna Shott.Parents
