Challenger Sports Soccer Camps originated as a British-led soccer camp business in North America in 1985, and Challenger Sports was formed in 1997. In 2025, Challenger Sports completes 40 years of running soccer camps, and it continues to run programs all over North America for players of all ages and ability levels. The company uses British coaches and Brazilian coaches through its TetraBrazil Camps, and its International Soccer Camps have been rebranded as Foundational Skills Camps with the addition of Creative Skills Camps.

The TinyTykes brand focuses on teaching young children, while the GK Icon brand focuses on goalkeepers. Challenger Sports also offers a Study and Play Abroad program and has a residential camper business called SoccerPlus, which is run by Tony DiCicco, who gained fame by leading the US Women’s national team to win the 1997 Women’s World Cup. Challenger Sports describes itself as a TOTAL SOCCER company that caters to players, coaches, parents, and administrators and is described as the leading youth soccer camps, programs, and services provider in North America.

Challenger Sports has positively impacted more than one million children globally since 1985, and its mission statement is “Our mission remains to ignite the passion.” The new leadership team consists of Daniel Miller, Grant Hall, Ben Beer, Lauren Wymore, Alex Green, Linda Shoare, Anthony Riley, and Rob Herringer, following the first generation of founders and senior managers that includes Alan Jones and Andy Bennett. The majority of staff work from remote locations across the US, the UK, and Canada.

Challenger Sports works with hundreds of clubs across the country through its Academy and Tours programs and remains in partnership with Challenger Teamwear, which distributes Under Armour and later began to distribute Adidas. Challenger Sports collaborates with LeagueApps to build out its website and with a technology company called TopYa to create digital solutions to support Challenger programs. Challenger Sports and Care Alliances+ are bringing soccer to underserved communities for the 2026 World Cup, and Challenger Sports has a partnership with the SPIRE Academy as part of a plan to provide a true player pathway.

Families can access an early bird special that offers discounts up to $40 on some sessions and exclusive merchandise savings.
