Mad Science Camps offers hands-on activities that include making slime, exploring hidden messages and secret codes, working with autonomous robots, and tackling skyscraper challenges. Campers take part in make-and-take activities, physical activity, chemical reaction experiments, rocket launches, hovercraft rides, and cotton candy making. New topics and activities are offered each day, with a balance of science discovery, games, and physical activities.

• Schedule: 5-day half-day or full-day camp options
• Price: Half-Day Camps: $175, varies per location. Full-Day Camps: $325, varies per location. Before- and after-care is $8/hr per kid, 1 hour minimum.

Half-day Mad Science Camps run for 5 days from 9 AM–12 PM or 1 PM–4 PM, and full-day camps run for 5 days from 9 AM–4 PM. Before- and after-care is available from 8 AM to 5 PM. The child-to-instructor ratio is at least one instructor for every 12–15 students.

Mad Science instructors tend to be college students pursuing an education or science degree, former or retired teachers, or teachers on summer break, and all instructors have experience working with large groups of elementary-aged children and have undergone an extensive background check. Mad Science Camps are locally owned and operated in N.E. Phoenix by Adam Mendoza. Mad Science was founded in 1985 in Montreal, Canada, and Mad Science of N.E. Phoenix has been bringing STEM experiences to kids all over Arizona for more than 20 years, with Mad Science operating for over 30 years and having over 150 locations in more than 20 countries.
