About
National Youth Sports offers youth sports through organized youth sports leagues. Participants can play tackle football, T-ball, and basketball as part of the program.
National Youth Sports, originally called Arizona Youth Sports, started as a small Arizona company over 20 years ago, with its first recreational youth sports league organized in January of 1993. Within five years it was serving over 5000 kids per season, and in 1998 it began its first expansion league outside Arizona to Las Vegas, Nevada. It now operates regional leagues in seven states, including Arizona, California, Nevada, and Texas, and currently serves approximately 45,000 youth each year. The organization was founded by Steve Pipoly. Its stated goal and mission are to offer amateur sports programs through a volunteer base for the physical, mental, and moral development of amateur athletics, to promote good sportsmanship and good citizenship, and to strengthen the individual, the family, and the community through participation in youth sports. National Youth Sports states that it serves the youth, the family, and the community through participation in youth sports and believes that sports can bring families together, strengthen bonds, and enrich neighborhoods. The organization notes that its programs are centered around sportsmanship and emphasize fun and the importance of fair play, and that it offers a variety of youth sports and multiple sports options for participants of all ages. It also states that it is looking to expand and offer youth sports to more communities across the nation through franchising.
