The Ahwatukee Community Swim, Tennis & Event Center is home to a variety of programs that promote the health and well-being of the community. It brings people together through annual events such as the Chili Cookoff, Dog Show, Car Show, and TukeeFest. The broader facility includes Ahwatukee Park, which has a children’s playground, ramadas, and a community garden, and the Ahwatukee Event Center, which is an open space available to rent for business meetings or events. The recreation center observes closure dates on January 1; April 4; May 23–25; July 3–5; September 5; November 25–29; and December 24–27.
