Friendly Pines Camp is a traditional, independent, residential summer camp for boys and girls and has been family-owned and operated since 1941, providing experiences for over 85 years. The camp is accredited through the American Camp Association (ACA) and is a member of the Western Association for Independent Camps (WAIC). It acknowledges that it is located on ancestral lands of all tribes and bands within the Yavapai-Apache Nation and expresses gratitude for their stewardship. CampWay, which hosts rentals at the camp from early August to early May, was started by two former Friendly Pines Camp staff members, Jonathan Pierson and Matt Gilmer. Testimonials from parents and campers describe repeat attendance over many years, enjoyment of activities such as pet care and horseback riding, time with friends, organized operations, and experiences that families choose to return to each summer.
