About
School of Rock Queen Creek offers music lessons that combine weekly private music lessons with weekly group music lessons and group rehearsals. Students take part in one-on-one instruction, songwriting exercises, lyrical workshops, live performances, and recording original songs. The program uses a performance-based music education approach where students play classic rock songs simplified for beginner musicians, use simplified rock instruments, and use hand percussion and other tools to learn rhythm patterns and music syntax.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Class and lesson hours available Monday–Friday, 2 PM–8 PM
School of Rock Queen Creek uses the patented School of Rock Method as its music education system. Some programs place students in a band and assign specific songs as a way of learning key music concepts and skills. The Adult Program also uses a performance-based music education approach in which students are placed in a band of fellow adults and assigned specific songs.
The program states its mission as: “We build a community that fosters personal growth.” School of Rock has been ranked #1 in Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 List and named a 2026 Top Franchise.
Parent feedback about School of Rock programs includes comments that kids are “actually making music and learning to play as a band” and that performances are “so impressive,” from Yessim P, a School of Rock parent. Another parent, Lori H from Downington, PA, notes that “lifelong skills and relationships are born here” and describes the staff as “very professional and accommodating.” Chevelle S from Portland, OR, describes it as “the best music program in the city” and says an 8-year-old “has grown leaps and bounds in skill and personal confidence.” Dustie S from Austin, TX, says “the structure around how kids learn is amazing” and that kids are “learning how to be a part of a band.”
