Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley – After School & Summer Programs offers meals, snacks, and a hot, nutritious dinner at no additional cost, along with homework help, tutoring, and a daily academic enrichment activity. The program includes sports, daily physical activity, arts, physical fitness, character development, leadership training, and healthy fun and recreation. Youth also take part in education programs that complement what they learn during the school day, as well as career pathway and workforce readiness learning and internship opportunities.

• Schedule: After school programming from 3pm–7pm, with Clubs staying open until 7pm

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley – After School & Summer Programs serves more than 20,000 young people in grades K–12 with high-quality, affordable programs that stay open late. Programs are organized around four stated priority outcomes: Academic Success, Good Character & Leadership, Healthy Lifestyles, and Career Pathways & Workforce Readiness, and are rooted in social-emotional development practices. The organization states that members develop skills such as curiosity, communication, collaboration, and critical thinking; make healthy nutrition choices; employ resistance and decision-making skills; refrain from participating in risky behaviors; and demonstrate leadership and service to others in the Club and in the community while understanding their rights and responsibilities as community members. The program is supported by caring, professional, well-trained staff.
For 75 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley (BGCAZ) has been creating equity and opportunity for youth. The mission of BGCAZ is to empower young people, especially those who need the organization most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible members of the community. BGCAZ provides award-winning programs and is described as the largest childcare provider in the Valley and as offering some of the most trusted out-of-school-time programs in Phoenix and across the Valley.
