Get Reading! offers Reading Tutoring / Reading Rescue using EBLI. The tutoring includes reading, spelling, handwriting, sentence writing, phonemic awareness, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension activities. It also offers virtual tutoring sessions, small group tutoring sessions, parental coaching, tutor training, school reading rescue projects, Reading SUPERNANNY, homeschool help, workshops for parents, and a speaker for reading conferences.

Programs

• Reading Tutoring / Reading Rescue — 4 years old to 104; struggling readers of all ages · One hour per week; one-to-one or small group; typically 4-6 months to complete; 10-20 weeks to success on average · Uses EBLI; integrated reading, spelling, handwriting, sentence writing, phonemic awareness, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension activities. First session is free.
• Virtual Tutoring Sessions — All ages served · Virtual program available to families further away; ZOOM calls provide virtual assistance.
• Group Tutoring Sessions — All ages served · Small group sessions, usually with two children, occasionally up to three or four
• Parental Coaching — Parents of newborn babies through school-age children · BOOST Coaching for baby, toddler or preschooler development; advice and support for parents teaching reading at home.
• Tutor Training — Training for tutors in how to use Toe by Toe and EBLI to teach struggling readers.
• School Reading Rescue Projects — During the school day at times that suit the school · Get Reading! can train teachers or paraprofessionals, monitor progress, and organize celebrations at the end of 6 months.
• Reading SUPERNANNY — After school from Monday to Friday · Concierge-style service that can handle tutoring, homework sessions, educational assessments and therapy sessions, school selection, and picking kids up from school.
• Homeschool Help — During the school day while instruction is happening · Support for homeschooling parents; review curriculum, demonstrate teaching strategies, and help if children are struggling with reading.
• Workshops for parents — Workshops for parents on getting your child reading.
• Speaker for reading conferences — A speaker for your reading conference.

Reading SUPERNANNY service is available after school from Monday to Friday.
