The camp’s mission statement says that its many different games secretly teach valuable defense skills, escape skills, gymnastic skills, and aim to build confidence, increase coordination, courage, and cooperation, all presented as being just for fun. The leadership team includes Master Maui Saito (Master Maui), Camp Counselor Thierry Brotherton, and Sensei Daron Brotherton, who is described as an exceptionally talented black belt. The program notes that it sometimes visits AZ on the Rocks, with visits restarting at a future date. Parents and guardians are reminded to keep children at home if they have symptoms such as coughing, fever, sore throat, runny nose, or diarrhea, and to keep them out of camp until they are better.
