Sedona Dance Academy offers classes in ballet, creative movement, tap, modern, jazz, tumbling, hip hop, and yoga. The program also includes massage, meditation, and energy healing as part of its offerings.

Over the past six years, Artistic Director Jessica Phillips has built Sedona Dance Academy from the ground up. The program describes itself as an immersive community fostering friendship, artistry, athleticism, and soul. Sedona Dance Academy offers a parent login, along with newsletter and email sign-ups.

Jessica Phillips began her training in a small town outside of Houston, Texas, with primary training at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C., and additional study at The School of American Ballet, Houston Ballet, and Pacific Northwest Ballet. She was a finalist in the internationally acclaimed Youth America Grand Prix in New York City for several years, joined Ballet Arizona’s company in 2009, and danced there for nine seasons. She specializes in ballet technique and wellness practices and has led ballet intensives and workshops across Arizona.

Danielle Johnson began her dance training in New York and earned scholarships to study at the Alvin Ailey School of Dance and Nanette Bearden Contemporary Dance Theater. She received a scholarship to study dance at Arizona State University, where she earned her BA in Dance, and she holds a master’s degree in education with over 20 years of professional dance experience.

Jenna Lyn Endicott trained as a competitive dancer in Las Vegas, trained and performed with Future Shock Las Vegas, and earned a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree with focuses in Dance and Business from Arizona State University. She participated in ASU’s Hip Hop Coalition, has been the Artistic Director of Celebrity Dance for over a decade, is a comprehensively certified Pilates instructor through Pilates Sports Center, and has appeared in TV series including So You Think You Can Dance season 9, Travel Channel’s Xtreme Waterparks, and the Netflix series Dancing Queen. She acted as Assistant Director and performed nationally with EPIK Dance Company and performed with Halo Movement Collective.

Jenna Brown has over 10 years of entrepreneurial experience, is a lifelong dancer and healer, and has danced professionally with a hip hop group. Eric Lindemer had early training with Anna-Marie and David Holmes, studied on scholarship with the Boston Ballet and the School of American Ballet, and danced with American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, and the Suzanne Farrell Ballet at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC. He is a Licensed Massage Therapist and has taught ballet, yoga, massage, meditation, and energy healing throughout the US, including at Boston Ballet Center for Dance Education, Boston Conservatory, and Harvard University.

Kay Phillips started her career as a computer scientist working for NASA in Houston, Texas, and later transitioned to selling real estate. The leadership team includes Jessica Phillips as Artistic Director; Danielle Johnson; Jenna Lyn Endicott as Tap 2 and Guest Teacher; Jenna Brown; Eric Lindemer as Guest Ballet Teacher; and Kay Phillips (Ms. Jessica’s mom) as virtual assistant, accountant, and ESA specialist.
