The Junior Development Program (Youth Tennis) takes place at the Sarver Tennis Center, which was completed in 2020 and includes six full-size courts and three junior tennis courts built with professional-grade Laykold Masters material, the official surface of the US Open and the Miami Open, as well as a multi-sport court used for pickleball and youth tennis games. The racquet sports program at this center offers instructional programs and events for all ages, and tennis pros use strategic techniques, including sports psychology, during on-court work with athletes. Leadership for the program includes USTA Elite Tennis Professional Steve Annacone and Associate Tennis Coach Gill Gross. The mission statement for the broader tennis program is that tennis is a sport for life and that the Tucson J is a destination for tennis players of all levels. Program elements for TOP Prep include sports nutrition, homework, and tournament coaching, and TOP Players in the TOP Team must play USTA tournaments and achieve a USTA/Arizona ranking, bringing all required equipment to practices and tournaments. Events such as ACEing Autism are also offered for players at all skill levels.
