TRAK Programs states its mission as “Strengthening kids and community through animal interaction.” The organization describes itself as a beautiful ranch in the city for animals and kids and as one happy family of diverse individuals enjoying Western life on and off horseback. The outdoor, physical nature of ranching and therapeutic animal interaction are described as the force behind what TRAK calls “TRAK Magic.”

TRAK Programs was established in 2007 by Scott Tilley and his wife, Jill. The leadership team includes Scott Tilley, Co-Founder and Executive Director; Jill Prickett-Tilley, Co-Founder and Treasurer; Mckinley Madril, Program Director and Equine Specialist; Bella Rose, Assistant Program Director and Equine Specialist; Annie Horvath, Head Riding Instructor; Alli Vidal, Riding Instructor and Equine Specialist; Isaac Little, Care Shift Leader; Alfred Ward, Care Shift Leader; and William Assenmacher, Care Shift Leader. Additional listed roles include Charile as Office Supervisor and Grandpa (also called Hugs) as Professional Nap Taker.

Staff credentials noted include Jill’s Master’s Degree in Special Education and Rehabilitation with an emphasis in Emotional and Behavioral Disturbances, and Mandy Reitzell’s 27 years in the finance field, an AAS in Accounting, and certification as a QuickBooks Online Pro Advisor. TRAK Programs is identified as the #1 ESA accredited ranch. It is also listed as a grateful 2019 beneficiary of Angel Charity for Children, with that award funding two staff positions in the Animal-Assisted Life Skills Eagala Program for one year.

The organization states that its continued operation is made possible by organizations and individuals who want its services available for children and those in need throughout Tucson, and that it relies on donors, volunteers, a board of directors, and dedicated staff. Tours are by appointment only, and guests are required to fill out a liability waiver online before a tour or upon signing in at the ranch. If a guest cannot make an appointment, TRAK Programs requires at least 24 hours’ notice by phone or email, and arriving more than 15 minutes late is treated as a no-show and rescheduling.
