Central Coast United Soccer Club offers soccer training, tryouts, and playoffs for youth players. The program includes coach development sessions and structured training led by club staff and a technical advisor with professional playing and coaching experience.
• Ages: 13–18 years old
• Schedule: North tryouts for U13, U14, U16, and U19 are held on Monday, May 4 and Wednesday, May 6 in two time blocks (5:00–6:30pm and 6:15–7:45pm), and South tryouts for U15 and U17 are held on Wednesday, May 6 and Thursday, May 7 from 6:00–7:30pm.
Central Coast United Soccer Club states that its primary goal is to cultivate soccer talent by connecting dedicated players with experienced coaches, with a focus on skill development, tactical understanding, physical fitness, and individual growth within a team framework. Technical Advisor Paul Holocher is a former U.S. National Team midfielder with professional experience in MLS and Europe, has served as Academy Director and Director of Formation for the San Jose Earthquakes and Houston Dynamo, built nationally recognized programs at Cal Poly and UC Santa Cruz, and holds the FFF Elite Coaches Formation License and USSF Academy Director credentials.
Central Coast United Soccer Club competes in the West District 3 (CA-S) conference in Southern California and offers a direct path to ECRL and ECNL, with all teams that earn playoffs having the opportunity to play at those levels. The club hosts intensive coach development sessions led by its Technical Advisor and offers DPL (Development Player League) girls tryouts, which it describes as the highest-level league girls can play on the Central Coast. US Club Soccer and the N1 National 1 league selected several Central Coast United teams (CCU Girls Under 17 South, CCU Girls Under 15 South, and CCU Girls Under 14 South) to participate in an upcoming season, and the club has been admitted into the Elite Academy League 2 for the 2026–27 season.
