Dress code and studio rules are clearly outlined: no gum, food, or drinks other than water are allowed in the studios at any time, and no jewelry should be worn in class. For Ballet, hair must be pulled back in a secured bun, dancers must wear a leotard, tights, and pink leather split sole ballet shoes with crisscrossed elastic straps, and the teacher may decide on ballet skirts, shorts, or cover ups. For Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theater, and Leaps & Turns, hair should be pulled back from the face, dancers should wear form-fitting clothing, and footwear can include black leather split sole slip-on jazz shoes, foot undeez, or bare feet depending on the teacher. For Tap, hair should be pulled back from the face, dancers should wear form-fitting clothing that does not restrict movement, and black leather tap shoes, with tap shoe recommendations available at the front desk. For Hip Hop, dancers should wear loose-fitting clothes that do not restrict movement (no jeans, cargo shorts, or khakis), and sneakers can be worn but must be free of mud, stones, or other debris. For Ballet, Jazz, & Tap Combo classes, hair should be pulled back in a bun, dancers should wear a pink leotard and pink tights with either black shorts or a solid color ballet skirt, and they should have patent leather tap shoes with ribbon laces and pink leather ballet shoes.
