Anaheim Family YMCA Summer Camp includes summer camp sessions that feature swim lessons, youth sports, and other sports activities. The program also includes learning activities as part of its camps.
• Ages: 5–17 years old
• Schedule: Office hours Monday–Friday with times ranging from 9:00AM–4:00PM and 9:00AM–5:30PM, plus office hours every first Saturday of the month from 9:00AM–1:00PM
The Anaheim Family YMCA has a 110-year history. Its mission is “TO PUT CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES INTO PRACTICE THROUGH PROGRAMS THAT BUILD HEALTHY SPIRIT, MIND AND BODY FOR ALL.” The organization serves Anaheim, Stanton, Cypress, and La Palma and works side-by-side with neighbors so that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. It is described as the nation’s leading non-profit committed to strengthening community, and its programs, services and initiatives enable youth to realize their potential, offer families ways to have fun together, empower people to be healthier in spirit, mind and body, welcome and embrace newcomers and help foster social responsibility. The values of Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsibility are celebrated by staff, members and volunteers and provide a positive foundation for all YMCA programs.
Leadership and support for Anaheim Family YMCA programs, including summer camp, come from staff and board members such as Interim Chief Executive Officer Debbie Jauch, Senior Finance Director Joan Cirafice, Swim Program Director Megan De La Cruz, Sports Director Byron Reliford, Sports & Fitness Director Michael Andrade, Operations Director Ann Trovada, and Board Chair Nicole Provansal, along with other listed directors and board officers. One YMCA alumni and current volunteer, Ysable Herrera, states, “Being a camp counselor at YMCA summer camp is the best part of my year.”
