Creative Arts and Music offers group music classes, private instrument lessons, and summer camps. Students can take piano, drums, guitar, musical theater, and choir/vocal coaching classes, as well as private piano, voice, guitar, drums, bass, violin, ukulele, and mandolin lessons. Lessons are offered in 30-minute sessions, with violin lessons offered in 60-minute sessions.
• Ages: 8–16 years old
• Schedule: Seasonal group music classes meet on Wednesdays; summer camps run June 22–26; the 2026 summer session runs for 6 weeks from July 8 to August 12 with one-hour weekly Wednesday classes scheduled by level each hour starting at 3:20pm
• Price: 30-minute private lessons are $125 per month; 60-minute violin lessons are $250 per month; 2026 summer session group classes are $60 for 6 weeks of one-hour classes
The program is led by Alisa Hopper, Director of Creative Arts and Music. Alisa Hopper has been teaching, preaching, and leading worship in churches, schools, and organizations for over 30 years. Irene Cheng completed her Master’s of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from Cal State East Bay in 2022 and the Music Education Certificate Program from Cal State East Bay in 2023.
The mission of Creative Arts and Music is making quality music lessons accessible to every student in Orange County and improving students’ lives by awakening their ability and giving them the knowledge to make music. The program maintains an instructional YouTube channel and Instagram account (@tsamusicarts). Private one-on-one lessons are offered at two locations, and registration for group classes is on a first come, first serve basis, with students assessed on the first day of group classes to ensure proper level placement. Full scholarships are available to qualifying students for summer session classes. Summer registration for camps and classes is open, with registration for summer camps and summer session classes opening on May 14 at 10:00am, and a spring recital for the current spring session scheduled for May 13 at 5:00pm. The creative arts and music program also strives to provide music and art classes for the after-school program at the Henley Youth Center in Tustin and for survivors residing at anti-trafficking facilities around the county.
