Orange County Fencing Center

Orange County Fencing Center offers classes from beginner to advanced level. Training includes introduction to all three fencing weapons, footwork, basic fencing movements, drills, open fencing, tactics and strategy, with occasional conditioning training and video analysis. Youth Class is for ages 6-10, Intermediate is for ages 10 and up or advanced athletes under 10, and Adult is for ages 16 and up.

• Youth Class — 6-10 years old · Tue-Fri 3:50pm-5:00pm; Sat 9:00am-10:30am · $90–$810 · 3 practices per week or 2 practices per week; class schedule listed for youth programs.
• Intermediate — 10 yrs+ or advanced athletes under 10 · Tue-Sat 5:00pm-6:30pm; Sat 9:00am-10:30am · $95–$910 · Electric and competitive youth; 3 practices per week or 2 practices per week.
• Adult — 16 yrs+ · Tue and Thu 6:30pm-8:00pm · $90–$810 · Adult athletes; 2 practices per week.

About the provider

The coaching team includes Olympians and World Champions. The program’s credentials note a strong track record of placing fencers into NCAA programs, and that every NCAA fencing program has fencers who trained with or were influenced by the coaching team. The mission statement says the club aims to help talent become achievement, with goals including Olympic ambition, NCAA recruitment, and personal growth.

• Private lessons — Scheduled during regular hours of operation, at pre-arranged times · $60–$70 per class · Usually 10 to 30 minutes; 24-hour cancellation is required.

USA Fencing membership is required by all individual members of USA Fencing Member Clubs who utilize the USA Fencing insurance program. Competitive memberships are required to compete in any USA Fencing sanctioned event. Membership is valid throughout the fencing season between August 1 and the following July 31. 24-hour cancellation is required for private lessons. Prices are subject to change.
