Maximus Martial Arts Academy & Combat Sports

Maximus Martial Arts Academy & Combat Sports offers self-defense training, combat sports, anti-bullying programs, and fitness sessions. Students can train in Kajukenbo, Muay Thai boxing, kickboxing, and combat sports competition in age group classes, personal training classes, and corporate seminar courses. The program is described as fun and family-friendly as well as serious and focused, with a results-driven self-defense system that uses a Trinity focus and is Christian based with real-world combat experience integrated into teaching.

Maximus Martial Arts Academy & Combat Sports offers highly structured programs for all skill levels and ages 4 and up and has been fostering character growth and life skills for over 27 years. A free trial lesson is available. The academy is an award-winning establishment and is teamed up with Cesar Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. It serves Antioch, CA and the surrounding communities of Brentwood, Oakley, Concord, and, as of 5/1/2024, Alamo, Walnut Creek, Danville, and San Ramon, CA.

Chief Instructor Grand Master Dennis Guila holds a 9th-degree Red Belt and has spent over 52 years honing his skills and passing on that knowledge to students. He is a combat-trained veteran of the United States Army and serves as Chief Instructor at Maximus Martial Arts Academy & Combat Sports. His credentials include induction into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2007 in Los Angeles, CA, the World Masters Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2009 in Anaheim, CA, and receiving the Golden Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009. The mission of Maximus Martial Arts Academy & Combat Sports states that transforming the participant and/or their child is a priority, as well as the chance to become stronger and more balanced as a martial artist. Corporate seminar courses are available worldwide by Grand Master Guila.
