Camp Fire Central Coast

Camp Fire Central Coast offers Camp Cielo, Camp Tacanneko, Camp WaLaKi, Camp Fire Community Clubs, and after school programming. Camp Tacanneko includes music, arts-and-crafts, swimming, try-ads, and Starflight level. Camp WaLaKi uses a different theme each week with Camp Fire's Starflight concepts and added outdoor learning, and Camp Fire Community Clubs may include field trips, overnight camping adventures, service projects, and community service activities.

• Camp Cielo
• Camp Tacanneko — Leaving K-11th grade · Week-long traditional day camp experience with music, arts-n-crafts, swimming, try-ads, and Starflight level. Space is limited and campers may be placed on a wait list.
• Camp WaLaKi — 5-12 by June 1st · Features a different theme each week alongside Camp Fire’s Starflight concepts, with added emphasis on outdoor learning. Campers bring a lunch; morning and afternoon snacks are provided.
• Camp Fire Community Clubs — Before or after school or on weekends · Traditional club programs led by a trained volunteer leader. Youth may participate in field trips, overnight camping adventures, service projects, and community service activities.
• After School Programming — After school

Camp Fire Central Coast lists Susan Fitch as President, Heather Weare as Vice President, Deanna Duarte Clift as Secretary, Debbie Fisher as Treasurer, Cheri Hess as Program Director, Sarah Collins as Camp Director, and Melanie Rodriguez as Club Leader. Camp Tacanneko is described as its 60th year having fun at Camp Tacanneko. Camp Fire says its vision is a world where all young people thrive and have equitable opportunities for self-discovery, community connection, and engagement with nature, and it welcomes youth and adults of all abilities and disabilities, experiences, races, ethnicities, socio-economic backgrounds, sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions, religion and non-religion, citizenship and immigration status, and any other category people use to define themselves or others.

Camp Tacanneko space is limited and campers may be placed on a wait list. Deadline information is listed for Week 1 and Week 2. Camp Fire states it is a non-competitive and inclusive organization.
