Catalina Dance Academy

Catalina Dance Academy offers classes in Intro to Ballet Productions, Teens Pre-Pointe, and K-Pop & Contemporary. The Spring Dance Session includes a Spring Dance Session Ages 6–Teens and is described as A Dance Studio Designed for Catalina.

Instructor Sky Catalina Gomez leads the program, with design by Sky Gomez and Zack Spanier. Sky has over 7 years of training in ballet, contemporary, and pre-pointe, and a background in science and the arts. Intro to Ballet Productions explores Catalina’s unique adaptations of classic ballets including The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, and Giselle. Teens Pre-Pointe is designed for teens 13+ who dream of dancing on pointe, with no prior ballet experience required and beginners encouraged. K-Pop & Contemporary focuses on rhythm, performance, and style, and offers a fun, energetic, and upbeat team experience. The mission of Catalina Dance Academy is to build a program that grows with the students, culminates in original island productions, and one day supports a professional dance company rooted in Avalon.
