About
Camps includes fun science activities, games, crafts, aquarium explorations, labs, and animal meet-and-greets. Campers take part in an ancient fish printing exercise, squid dissection, an octopus craft, beach time, role playing demonstrations, and up-close encounters with tidepool animals, including chances to explore local tidepools at Avila Beach if the tide is right. Activities also include shark feedings, discovery labs, and making shark hats.
• Ages: 5–10 years old
• Schedule: Week-long camp from April 6th–10th, 2026, with sessions running 8:30AM–12:00PM Monday–Friday; single and multi-day options are available
• Price: Single Day Attendance: $70 per camper; Full Week Attendance (Monday–Friday): $350 per camper; Aquarium Members receive 10% off camp fees; sign up before March 1st for $60 per day
The program takes place at a nonprofit marine science education organization whose mission is to cultivate a community dedicated to ocean stewardship through education, engagement, and action. The organization is a small 501(c)(3) focused on marine science education and houses over 250 marine creatures and more than 75 different central coast species in 14 exhibits within a two-room exhibit hall. Aquarium admission is included with camp registration, registered campers receive 10% off all gift shop purchases during the week of camp, and daily sessions are kept to a maximum of 25 campers with two camp staff. Families are asked to pack a snack for each camper, and lunch is not provided.
