PDM Stables Summer Camp includes daily riding lessons, riding instruction, grooming activities, horse-care activities, and games. Each week ends with a Friday Mini-Horse Show, followed by an optional potluck brunch for families who choose to participate. No equipment is required for beginner students, as the program provides a lesson horse, saddle, bridle, helmet, and grooming supplies.
• Ages: 6–12 years old
• Schedule: Three sessions (June 8–12, July 6–10, July 20–24), with each session running Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM–1:30 PM and Friday 8:00 AM–11:00 AM
• Price: $450 for non-PDM students; $430 for current PDM students; $100 non-refundable deposit required to reserve a spot
PDM Stables Summer Camp is part of a family-operated program that has four generations riding at the barn. The foundation of the program was laid over 50 years ago by founder Gabe Belluomini, and the leadership team includes Gabe, his daughter and head trainer Denise, Denise’s daughter Heather, and great-granddaughter Gemma. Head trainer Denise leads the program with a lifetime of expertise, and between Denise and Heather there are over 100 years of combined experience. Heather competes in both hunters and jumpers, and assistant trainer Lilly, who is fluent in Spanish, provides a welcoming and encouraging environment for new riders. Sessions are limited to 12 riders and are designed for beginner through intermediate riders ages 6–12, with a specialized “Little Riders” program offering private, shorter sessions for ages 4–5. Lunch and snacks are provided every day, and photos are taken throughout the week and shared privately with families via Google Drive. PDM Stables hosts five horse shows annually, four of which are pointed for the Equestrian Sports Awards (ESA), and the barn travels to compete at top venues throughout Northern and Southern California. The Equestrian Performance Team (EPT), connected with the program, is a non-profit initiative focused on advancing equestrian excellence through education and accountability.
