Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon Golf Instruction offers golf instruction and golf lessons that cover on course management and club fitting. Every lesson is designed specifically for each individual, and instruction addresses both the mental and physical aspects of golf. The goal at Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon is to offer the finest golf instruction in the world. The program takes place at a public 36-hole golf course with two courses, The Champions and The Legends, each a par 72 with six sets of tees that can be challenging yet enjoyable for any skill level of golfer. The practice facility includes a double-end 420-yard driving range, two large putting greens, and two chipping greens, and the natural surroundings in unspoiled terrains draw golfers from around the world.
Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon opened its golf courses in 2000 from the Southern California PGA. The leadership team includes Director of Golf Henry Liaw and Head Golf Professional Mark Lamb. The clubhouse is Modern Tuscan inspired, with wrought-iron chandeliers, a high-vaulted ceiling with exposed beams, a stone set fireplace, and neutrally enhanced earth tones.
Henry Liaw is a PGA Member since 2012, a PGA Instructor with 8 years of teaching experience, and has been recognized as 2017 I.E. PGA Teacher of the Year, 2013 PGA Merchandiser of the Year, and 2009 AAA PGA Player of the Year. His playing background includes 2001 U.S. Junior Amateur Champion, 2004 PAC 10 Individual and Team Champion, 2004 and 2005 NCAA All American, 2004–2006 NCAA All-West Regional Team, 2005 U.S. Team Member Fuji Xerox Cup, and 2009–2011 PGA North/South Cup Team Member. Mark Lamb is a Certified PGA Member whose golf highlights include 2004 Pac 10 Team Champion, 2004 NCAA 3rd, 2004 All American, 2002 Scottish Boys Open Amateur Champion, 2002 3rd European Champion of Champions, NCAA Division 1 golf at The University of Arizona from 2004–2008, and representing Scotland.
Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon has hosted the Symetra Tour IOA Championship for the past 5 years. It has also hosted Champions Tour National Qualifying Finals, PGA Tour Q-School, Southern California PGA Professional Championship, and NCAA Division III National Championships. The golf course was designed by Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley, who were awarded architects of the year in 2012.
