Cuisine de camp features a variety of tasty, nourishing food, with snacks and lunch included, and is offered in partnership with fan favorite restaurants, serving items such as pizza and Caesar salads. The program allows families to buy any number of days and send their child on any camp day, with the option to drop off and pick up at any time during camp hours, and any unused purchased Day Passes are automatically refunded at the end of the season.

Steve & Kate's Camp also offers a Mentorship Program intended exclusively for children ages 14–15 at this camp location for Summer 2026, where mentees help facilitate camp activities, engage with campers, and help encourage camper connection and participation. The mentorship program uses self-directed learning to support mentees in their development into young adults ready to take on more responsibilities, and any unused Mentorship Day Passes are automatically refunded in full at summer’s end. If a Mentorship Summer Pass is purchased and less than 30 days of camp are used, the difference compared to the daily rate is refunded automatically. The camp has Youngest Camper Support Staff dedicated specifically to supporting the youngest campers.

According to the camp’s mission statement, the program gives kids freedom to choose which activities they do, whom they do them with, and for how long, and describes this experience as both joyful and a training ground for life where kids are empowered, independent, resilient, and responsible for their own decisions. Steve & Kate’s Camp traces its history back to 1980 and reports that it has grown to more than 90 camps from Manhattan to Manhattan Beach. The Belmont camp is led by a director named Indigo.

Testimonials from outside sources describe the camp in various ways, including comments from Andrew Stanton, director of WALL-E, Finding Nemo, and Finding Dory, and coverage from Apple’s Hot News, Variety magazine, The Washington Post, and the Chicago Tribune. As summer approaches, registered families receive a link to a virtual camp orientation with details on local drop-off and pick-up procedures, daily check-in and check-out, what to bring and not bring, and other camp information.
