Since 1988, Bayside Broncos Youth Football has provided football to youth 6–14 years old in San Mateo County and has operated as a non-profit organization serving San Mateo County for over 30 years. The organization is 100% volunteer driven, relies on donations, and offers scholarships that allow 20–30% of players to participate. The mission of Bayside Broncos Youth Football is to provide eligible youth with a highly competitive, positive, safe environment to learn the fundamentals of football while focusing on the importance of academics and encouraging good sportsmanship and teamwork. Bayside Broncos Youth Football reaches about 100 kids each year, and playing football in this program is described as rewarding and teaching life skills such as resilience, teamwork, and respect.

The program requires that football players complete 10 hours of conditioning at practice in the presence of a coach before participating in full pads. The first 10 hours of conditioning typically happen the first week of practice in August. There is no maximum weight for the 10U, 11U, 12U, and 13U tackle teams.

Parent participation includes a requirement of a minimum of ten volunteer hours per season per family. Each family is also requested to provide halftime snacks and end of game snacks or drinks at least once or possibly twice during the season. The Pop Warner football season is kicked off with a pre-season Jamboree game played on Sunday.
