Bayside Broncos Youth Football

Bayside Broncos Youth Football offers 10U Tackle Team for ages 8, 9, and 10, 11U Tackle Team for ages 10 and 11, 12U Tackle Team for ages 11 and 12, and 13U Tackle Team for ages 12 and 13. The program has no maximum weight for these teams. Football season officially begins on July 15th, and practices are held on weekday evenings with some Saturday practices from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

About the provider

Since 1988, Bayside Broncos Youth Football has provided football to youth ages 6-14 in San Mateo County. The mission of the BBYF is to provide eligible youth with a highly competitive, positive, safe environment to learn the fundamentals of football while focusing on academics and encouraging good sportsmanship and teamwork. The program is run entirely by volunteers, and each family is required to complete a minimum of ten volunteer hours per season. Each family is also requested to provide halftime snacks and end-of-game snacks or drinks at least once or possibly twice during the season.

Football players must complete 10 hours of conditioning to be allowed to participate in full pads. The official game schedule will not be released until after Certification Day and is subject to changes during the season. The season includes a pre-season Jamboree Game and eight regular-season games. There is an entrance fee at the Jamboree game and all post season games for ages 16 and up.
