About

Building Kidz of Berkeley Preschool Program includes daily activities such as music, dance, theater, and performing arts, along with Broadway style productions. Children also take part in finger painting, pretend play, circle time, story time, art, curriculum projects, homework, group projects, robotics, and sculpting.

• Ages: 3–5 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm

The program uses a proprietary performing arts curriculum that integrates music, dance, and theater into age-appropriate development standards through classes and Broadway style productions. It also uses a Learning Through Life Experiences (LTLE) curriculum that makes learning experimental, imaginative, and sensory based through real life experiences such as emergency services and health and nutrition. The curriculum is described as comprehensive, interactive, and arts-integrated, with daily integration of performing arts and a focus on emotional, social, cognitive, physical, communication, and academic development. Monthly meal plans with nutrient-dense choices are provided daily, and schools are sanitized daily with comprehensive safety protocols, including video cameras throughout classrooms and playgrounds and touch pad entry. Parent communication is supported through the Brightwheel app, and the center is locally owned as a community child care center.

Building Kidz of Berkeley Preschool Program operates under California License 013423757. The leadership team includes Executive Director Sabrina Bhandari, along with Ms Amel and Ms Ariana for Little Learners, and Ms Rossy as Administrative Assistant. The program was previously operating as Golden Gate Learning Center until it was bought and transformed into a Building Kidz franchisee in January of 2024. Its mission is to create a local community where children are challenged intellectually, become empowered and interested in lifelong learning, and engage in the arts to accelerate the development of their Confidence, Commitment, and Character.

Building Kidz Worldwide dedicates 25% of profits to helping underprivileged children at home and around the world through its non-profit, Building Futures Worldwide, which supports orphaned and abandoned children, children with hearing disabilities or vision impairment, and children with juvenile diabetes. Parent testimonials describe the center as a place that many children call home, mention appreciation for low teacher-to-student ratios and a structured day with fun activities, and note frequent photos and videos shared through Brightwheel.
