• Ages: 9–17 years old
• Schedule: Multiple day camp sessions, including June 1–3, June 8–10, June 15–17, June 22–24, and August 22–23, with camps typically running Monday–Wednesday or Saturday–Sunday and daily check-in between 8:30–9:00 am and check-out at 3:00 pm

The camps are designed for male and female competitive swimmers ages 9–17, and participants are expected to have competitive swim knowledge and competitive swimming experience with all four competitive strokes: butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle. These camps do not teach participants how to swim, and all Cal Sports Camps are open to any and all entrants. Enrollment is limited, workouts are grouped by skill level, and each camper receives a Cal t-shirt and swim cap. Sessions I and III include live video analysis at camp, while Sessions II and IV are racing camps with a mock meet on the final day, and families can also schedule Cal Elite Swim Lessons with Video Analysis as private lessons.
The UC Berkeley Coaching Staff offers these stroke technique camps, and Assistant Coach Noah Yanchulis, a Cal Berkeley and US National Team Assistant Coach, is part of the leadership team. NCAA All-Americans will be joined for a camp designed to elevate swimming to the next level. The mission statement for Cal Swimming Camps is: “Get better this summer at the California Swim Camp. The UC Berkeley Coaching Staff is excited to offer outstanding stroke technique camps. From in water training and dry-land conditioning, to classroom content and discussions, the Cal Swim Camp will help you become a more effective and passionate swimmer.”
A detailed camper registration packet with check-in information, health/release forms, emergency contact information, and a list of things to bring is emailed to registered campers in the spring, and health and release forms do not require a doctor’s signature and are collected on the first day of camp. Campers are responsible for their own transportation to and from camp, the camp is not allowed to offer transportation, and the closest airport is Oakland International Airport, with San Francisco International Airport also within a reasonable distance. Recommended items to bring include swimsuits, swim goggles, swim caps, two towels, T-shirts, shorts, a backpack, a water bottle, running shoes, a jacket, sunscreen, and warm clothes for possible fog during morning and evening pool sessions, and fins, boards, or other gear are not needed.
