Hearts Leap Schools

Hearts Leap Schools includes Hearts Leap School, a preschool, and Hearts Leap Beginnings, an infant and toddler program. Children are provided safe spaces to take risks, explore new materials with all their senses, and dive into the world of their imagination. The program has rolling waitlist enrollment, and parents apply to the waitlist on the website.

At a glance

• Ages: 0–5 years old
• General schedule: Rolling waitlist enrollment. Parents apply to the waitlist on the website. November-December: current families are re-enrolled and open spaces are determined for the next school year. January-March: families on the waitlist are contacted for tours and meetings for open spaces. Mid-August: the new school year starts and runs through July. If under 3 years old, the first three days are half days.

About the provider

Hearts Leap Schools was founded in 1990. Hearts Leap North opened in 2008, Hearts Leap Lakeview opened in 2015, and Hearts Leap Beginnings opened in 2018. The schools are dedicated to creating and nurturing a child-centered environment of support, success and safety for each child and family who becomes a part of their community of lifelong learners. They also note a commitment to building strong connections between children, families, and the extended community, with anti-bias education goals that include diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Application fee is $50. All applicants are placed on the waiting list and do not need to reapply each year. An enrollment deposit of one month's tuition is required to secure a spot in a classroom.
