About
Kitchen on Fire Cooking Classes offers cooking classes that include hands-on cooking experience, nutrition classes, and virtual cooking classes. The program also offers team-building and group cooking events, as well as corporate wellness and nutrition events. Students prepare class recipes in teams, receive recipes via email, are welcomed by an appetizer, may bring their favorite beverage, and sit down to a meal at the end of class.

Kitchen on Fire Cooking Classes has offered team building and cooking classes in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2005 and has worked with over 100,000 students ages 8 and up over more than 19 years. The staff includes more than 15 chefs and nutrition consultants, each with specific culinary expertise and experience. The program’s mission is to use whole foods and timeless techniques so chef instructors can inspire students to integrate healthy cooking practices into their home kitchen and lifestyle. Classes use seasonal, fresh produce and sustainably sourced seafood, meat, and dairy, and class sizes are capped at 12–16 students so each student has room to work with the chef instructors. The 12-Week Basics of Cooking Series focuses on cooking techniques that form the foundation for recipes, and students learn basic science and proper cooking methods, with each class focusing on a specific skill or authentic cuisine. Kitchen on Fire Cooking Classes offers award-winning in-person classes, virtual classes, and virtual corporate events, and has shared its approach in hundreds of classes and skills workshops.
Kitchen on Fire Cooking Classes partners locally with Berkeley Bowl, Monterey Market, Magnani’s Meat, and Monterey Fish. One testimonial from a parent describes a 15-year-old who enjoys the exotic recipes, the chefs, and trying new foods in the cooking classes. Other testimonials describe repeat attendance at multiple classes and positive experiences with both in-person and virtual team-building events.
