About
The PRIDE Reading Program uses a structured literacy, Orton-Gillingham based curriculum aligned with the Science of Reading to teach reading, spelling, comprehension, and writing. It offers engaging, multisensory, step-by-step instruction for children to learn every phoneme in the English language through one-on-one lessons with PRIDE Reading Specialists. The program was developed specifically to teach struggling and non-readers, and it specifically addresses dyslexia and the needs of students struggling with reading and writing comprehension.

Each PRIDE Reading Specialist is trained in the PRIDE Orton-Gillingham multisensory teaching method and completes an extensive screening and training process, including complete background checks. The curriculum is written specifically for children who struggle with dysgraphia, auditory processing disorder, childhood apraxia of speech, or dyslexia, and it is described as especially successful for children with dyslexia, auditory and visual processing disorder, speech deficits, and other learning differences. The program offers tailored curriculum solutions for both school districts and homeschoolers, including an easy-to-use structured literacy curriculum, a digital online teacher’s manual, a free PRIDE Placement Assessment, and a free Orton-Gillingham Introductory Course.
