Swim Lessons offers swim lessons and swim classes, including parent and child aquatics, preschool swim lessons, learn-to-swim classes for ages 6–18 years, and adult swim lessons. All aquatic programs in this series require pre-registration online, and registration is available for swim activities in Berkeley’s public pools. Activities in the broader aquatic program range from self-directed exercise such as lap swim to instructor-led classes, and lessons are available for a variety of ages and experience levels.

A lifeguard will be on duty during all activities. To participate in self-directed aquatic activities, each participant will need a daily admission ticket, 10-swim pass, or monthly pass, and a pass is required for all participants regardless of age. Upon completing the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course connected with these aquatic offerings, participants will receive American Red Cross certifications required to work as a lifeguard.
