Bolinas Stinson Summer Camp offers activities such as hiking Mt. Tam and Samuel P. Taylor, surfing and boogie boarding, kayaking the lagoon, and tide-pooling and beach art. Campers take part in science in nature, lagoon restoration projects, Point Reyes beach trips, driftwood fort building, dance, costumes and improv, and campfires and talent shows under the stars. The program also includes Friday lagoon overnights.
• Ages: 6–13 years old
• Schedule: 4 July sessions for 1st–8th grade; four weeks of outdoor programming plus two overnights
Since 1993, Bolinas Stinson Summer Camp has run four weeks each summer with day programs and a few special overnights centered mostly outdoors. Under the direction of mother-daughter team Kathy and Ellie Bustamante, the camp has built a reputation as a safe, high-quality program and a summertime tradition anticipated by local campers, their parents, and grandparents. The camp’s mission is to provide the children of West Marin and beyond with memorable camp experiences that will affect them positively throughout their lives and strengthen the communities in which they live.
