About
Guitarlina School of Music offers piano, guitar, ukulele, drum, violin, cello, singing, and wind instrument lessons. Students take part in music recitals, including a Spring concert, a Christmas concert, worship songs performances, and participation in a worship band.

Guitarlina School of Music is a private family owned Christian music school founded in 2010, with a mission of “Raising leaders through excellence in music education.” The school uses and provides age-appropriate materials to teach music theory and instrumental techniques, primarily uses the Faber series for piano students, and uses the same texts used in band class in most schools. The studio carries musical texts for purchase and supplies musical instruments, accessories, musical texts, and games to individuals and organizations.
Recitals are set up as events where students showcase their talents to friends and family in the community. Participation in concerts is by recommendation of the music instructor and requires the student to be ready with a musical piece to present. Students perform for free at the Annual Spring Recital, kids under 2 years old attend that recital for free, and Guitarlina students attend the Summer Recital for free. Some concerts feature a recently formed worship band.
For the December 16, 2023 Annual Christmas Concert, participating students need a concert t-shirt, which can be paired with any bottoms, attendees must purchase tickets by December 10, and concert t-shirts for performing students must be purchased by November 25. For that concert, attendees should arrive 15 minutes early to get seated and to get instruments tuned. For the May 11, 2024 Spring Concert, student dress code is black bottoms and white tops, and students should arrive 10 minutes before the event time.
Guitarlina School of Music provides music lessons to neighboring elementary and middle schools in the Brentwood, Oakley, and Knightsen school districts, and partners with government agencies and local establishments to provide musical instruments, music lessons, or musical performances. The school also partners with organizations to provide instruments, lessons, or performances in the community.
