About

Davis Programs, including Davis Mastery for Math, offer one-to-one programs that use a step-by-step approach to making math easy and focus on identifying and addressing the root cause of confusion that affects mathematical thinking. The Davis Mastery for Math program uses a clay-powered approach for Concept Mastery, including clay-based mastery of core mathematical principles, mental focusing techniques, and targeted exercises for solving complex arithmetic and word-based story problems. The approach is multisensory and strength-based, using clients’ creative and imaginative strengths and perceptual gifts, and is especially suited for out-of-the-box thinkers who struggle with traditional educational methods and environments.

• Ages: 8–18 years old
• Schedule: A Davis Mastery for Math Program typically takes around 50 hours over 8 days, or 30–36 hours over 5–6 days for those who have previously completed a Davis Mastery for Dyslexia program; math programs typically take between 45 and 55 hours spread across two weeks, depending on the program and situation.

Davis Programs describe their approach as alternative, holistic, and personalized, facilitated one-to-one in a respectful and non-judgmental way, with programs available in person or online. Each program is delivered one-to-one by a highly trained Davis Facilitator, and all program packages include training of a support person, telephone and email support after the program, and access to follow-up review sessions in person or online. The organization focuses on empowering neurodivergent individuals, including those who struggle with ADHD, autism, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, dyslexia, dyspraxia, or executive function difficulties, by providing personalized support to understand what is holding them back and how to break through those barriers.

Ron Davis, the founder, spent years discovering how to overcome his own severe autism and dyslexia and has been empowering others to do the same since 1981. Parents and clients have described the Davis Mastery for Math course as matching the pace their child needed, with children grasping concepts with speed and clarity and math becoming a favorite subject, and have reported that years of lost learning were quickly set in a foundation that became easy to build on. Other parents and clients have shared experiences of changes in reading, focus, self-regulation, and everyday skills such as catching a ball, and have spoken positively about the Davis Autism Approach, Davis Mastery for Dyslexia, Davis Foundations for Reading, Concepts for Life, and other Davis programs. Highly trained Davis facilitators and mentors are available worldwide to work with children, adults, and teachers.
