UMC Preschool – Burlingame offers stimulating and varied activities that include self-directed play and both creative and cooperative play. The program uses an emergent curriculum with a play-based approach and follows a co-op model in which parents participate in the classroom once a week.

UMC Preschool – Burlingame is a non-profit, play-based preschool with small class sizes and a co-op approach where parents help in the classroom once a week. The program is led by Program Director Teresa Campbell. Its mission is to offer a warm, supportive atmosphere with activities that support physical, emotional, intellectual, and social growth, and to create a diverse, accessible environment that welcomes families of any structure to participate in the classroom and at special events. Teachers and parents join together to create a learning community, and the preschool operates with a non-discrimination policy admitting students of any race, color, ethnic and national origin and not discriminating on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, age, ethnic or national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation or military status.
