Calabasas Pickleball Club Kids Pickleball Summer Camp

Calabasas Pickleball Club Kids Pickleball Summer Camp includes pickleball with activities such as basic paddle grip, learning to hit with forehand and backhand, and simple serve and return. Campers take part in fun games to work on hand-eye coordination, games, water play, and prizes, along with refining pickleball techniques, positioning, serving, longer drills, mini-games, and match play. Activities also include working on serves and returns with a focus on control, footwork, court positioning, partner drills, introduction to dinks and volleys, advanced serving and receiving techniques, strategy and teamwork development, and fast-paced drills such as volleys, dinks, and overhead smashes.

The camp is divided into three age groups to match activities to different ages. CUCUMBERS (ages 6–7) are younger players who are just getting started, with shorter activities that include a fun, fast-paced environment with games, water play, and prizes. JUNIOR PICKLERS (ages 8–9) take part in longer drills and mini-games while developing teamwork and sportsmanship, and work on skills including an introduction to dinks and volleys in a fun, fast-paced environment with games, water play, and prizes. BIG DILLS (ages 10–14) focus on advanced pickleball skills, strategy, gameplay, and fitness, and also take on leadership roles during games and team challenges, with campers playing against others of similar age and skill in match play.
