The department’s mission is to enhance quality of life by providing safe, positive and accessible sports and recreational programs and facilities; strengthening arts, culture, history and creative expression as tools to empower residents; and collaborating with other organizations to promote community pride, health and growth. Its facility hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Fridays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and weekends closed.
