Learning N Caring Academy

Learning N Caring Academy offers self-directed activities, hands-on education, collaborative play, age-appropriate activities, and academic play. The program uses a Montessori and play-based approach, and children can make creative choices during their activities.

The program’s mission states that child development comes from self-directed activities, hands-on education, and collaborative play. Its philosophy includes children making creative choices that strengthen social skills, respect for one another, and beneficial negotiation, and it states that this philosophy supports independence and self-discipline. The program description notes that it promotes development of social skills, fine motor and gross motor skills, emotional growth, physical coordination, and cognitive progression, and that academic play is incorporated for children to learn effective problem-solving as they reflect positively about themselves, others, and the environment around them. Learning N Caring Academy also states that it aims to open a child’s imagination to create new memories from every exploratory experience.

Learning N Caring Academy offers full-time and part-time options, as well as drop-in child care and date night child care, and it accepts government subsidies. Lunch and snacks are provided. The program is described as diverse and is licensed with the California Department of Social Services. Staff are trained for CPR, First Aid, AED, and Health, Safety, and Nutrition, and the program lists a Health, Safety and Nutrition Certification.
