Camp Royaneh offers activities such as C.O.P.E. & Climbing, survival skills, and Merit Badge & Skills Instruction. The program includes experiences like climbing up into towering forests, zipping through majestic redwoods, and spending time in a creator’s space. Campers take part in Troop Time, Skit Night, Troop Campfires, Pizza Night, Mountain Man lunch, trail rides, cairn trails, side activities like Gladiators, and the Campfire Competition, along with traditions such as Cairns, Gladiators, and the Order of the Rattlesnake.
One parent from Troop 20 in the Nevada Area Council shared that their group loved the trail rides and the pool in the middle of the woods at Camp Royaneh. A parent from Troop 799 in the Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Council said their unit enjoys the energy the staff brings, the cairn trails, side activities like Gladiators, and the Campfire Competition. A parent from Troop 42 in the Redwood Empire Council described the Mountain Man lunch as amazing and worth the hike. A parent from Troop 447 in the California Inland Empire Council said that at COPE, Scouts were empowered and staff were respectful, professional, and fun.
