Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley offers enriching programs in academics, health and wellness, and character and leadership for children and teens. The program focuses on out-of-school time and operates dedicated youth spaces staffed by trained youth development professionals. It serves over 1,600 youth at 11 sites in Butte and Glenn Counties and is supported by more than 500 community volunteers.

• Price: Membership is just $100 annually, with scholarships available—no child is turned away due to financial need.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the North Valley is a private nonprofit founded in 1995 and is governed by a local volunteer board. The organization employs over 100 youth development professionals and is a training site for Boys & Girls Clubs and other after school programs. Its mission is to inspire and enable all young people to reach their full potential as responsible, productive and caring citizens. The program has been audited and endorsed by the Grand Jury as a proven program, is a platinum participant through GuideStar/Candid, is compliant with the Office of State Assembly, and is recognized as a model program for youth development best practices. The leadership team includes Chief Executive Officer Rashell Brobst and a group of directors and coordinators overseeing operations, human resources, case management, development, finance, mission support, office services, accounting and payroll, special events, and individual club and school sites. The organization benefits from program partnerships with community supporters who help maintain access for members even though the true cost per member is around $2,500 annually.
