CRT Kids

CRT Kids offers children’s theater and youth theater, along with actor workshops, dance workshops, and Broadway Jr. shows. The program also provides private vocal, dance, and acting lessons, plus various other art and music oriented classes.

• Schedule: Office hours Monday–Thursday, 12:00 PM–7:00 PM

CRT Kids is the non profit youth theater division of California Regional Theater Alliance and started in 2012 with 13 students ages 8–12. It has grown to over 1,200 students each year, serving ages 5–16, with ages divided into separate classes for 5–6, 7–10, 11–13, and 14–16. Students come together to perform Broadway Jr. shows four times a year, and the program has performed over 300 shows and impacted thousands of kids and their families in Northern California. CRT KIDS also offers summer camps, and show tickets are for performances by kids for kids and are described as family friendly and perfect for all ages.

All CRT Kids programs are described as award winning and are staffed by experienced, qualified instructors whose goal is to give back to the community through education and performance. California Regional Theater states that it is dedicated to the creation of excellent theater and the education of students of all ages in the art of theater. Bob and Mindy are described as organized, professional, kind, humble, and creative.

One parent, Erica Weaton Blaschke, says the program is amazing, the shows are awesome, and her two girls love coming every week. Another parent, Monique Everett Dey, says both of her kids have done plays with CRT, that they loved it, and that the environment is positive and fun with friendly and helpful staff and fantastic plays. A third parent, Michelle Gustafson, calls CRT a great theater company with fantastic staff and entertaining shows and recommends it to families with children ages 5 to 15.
