Living Coast Discovery Center Wildlife Camps & Youth Programs

Living Coast Discovery Center Wildlife Camps & Youth Programs includes activities such as Wildlife Day Camps, Private Animal Encounters, Overnight Adventures, Field Trips, Scout Programs, Public Hikes, and Community Cleanups. The program also offers Composting Workshops, a Vermicomposting Workshop, a Master Composter Training Course, and the Sweetwater Safari Hike. Animal presentations feature eagles, sharks and rays, and a sea turtle on specific days and times, and visitors may see keepers walking around with a bird on a glove.

• Schedule: Animal presentations run Wednesday through Sunday, with eagles at 10:30 AM, sharks and rays at 1:30 PM, and the sea turtle at 2:30 PM; Compost Workshops are offered every Sunday at 11:30 AM; the Vermicomposting Workshop is offered the last Sunday of every month at 11:30 AM; the Sweetwater Safari Hike is offered every Saturday.
• Price: Admission is $22 for adults ages 13 and up and $16 for children ages 3–12, with children 2 and under free; students and seniors receive a discounted admission price of $17.60; adults and children with disabilities receive a 20% discount and one complimentary attendant ticket; membership options include Individual at $49, Dual at $89, and Household at $149.

The program includes Community Cleanups and a “Team Up to Clean Up” effort. It supports zero-waste efforts through weekly Compost Workshops and the Master Composter Training Course. Members receive free admission and can apply the cost of admission toward a membership.
