About the provider

Mountain Lake Chess Camp was founded in 1992 by International Master Larry Evans. The program says it was founded to help train Larry Evans' son Cory, who later became a US scholastic Chess Champion. Notable alumni include International Master Craig Hilby, 2022 U.S. Chess Champion, International Grandmaster Fabiano Caruana, and U.S. 5th Grade Champion Alexander Costello.

The program states that competent leadership will be provided, in case of accident the camp is authorized to secure emergency medical treatment, the camp is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal articles, and photos/slides/video tapes may be used. It also mentions sign-up for upcoming in-person after-school programs and notes some school listings as canceled, postponed, or requiring contact by email.
