Safe Swim Academy offers swimming, soccer, and multi-sport activities. The program includes private, semi-private, and small group swim lessons, as well as a Baby Aquatics class.

Safe Swim Academy operates all year round and offers one-on-one swim instruction, semi-private lessons for siblings or friends of similar age and abilities, and small group lessons with personalized attention. Swimmers range from 6-month-old babies to adults. The pool is heated to 85–87 degrees in a warm-water environment, with a focus on water safety and proper swim technique in a safe, fun, positive, and encouraging atmosphere.
Safe Swim Academy was founded by Monica Barbu (Coach Monica), a former Olympic team swimmer who has been teaching swim lessons in the US for over 15 years. Instructors include a Certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor and are described as creative, enthusiastic, highly professional, and well-trained, with a proven teaching style that uses games, songs, and imagery characters. The program’s mission is to help young athletes build confidence, develop skills, and stay active in a fun and supportive environment. Safe Swim Academy has a partnership with San Diego Soccer Academy to bring a Summer Camp 2026.
