About the provider
The Sunrise Swans Artistic Swim Team has been in the Citrus Heights area since 1968. Its leadership team includes Coach Heather, Coach Jamie, Coach Tarissa, and Coach Lilianna. The team’s mission is to foster and build teamwork, self-esteem, friendships, and synchronized swimming skills in youths from the surrounding areas. The annual Watershow is described as the highlight of the season and as a family-friendly event showcasing artistic swimming, creativity, teamwork, and community. The team also participates in Meets, Swim-a-thon, Dual Meets, and League Championships.
The team is part of the Valley Foothill Competitive Aquatics League (VFCAL). Swimmers are classified in two levels: Novice and Intermediate. All swimmers start at the Novice level unless petitioned and approved by VFCAL, and qualify for Intermediate based on their figures placement at the all-team Championships Meet in July.
