TCC Summer Camps offers a range of activities that include soccer, basketball, t-ball, volleyball, field sports, swimming, water activities, outdoor and indoor exploration, circle time, dramatic play, and art. Campers can also take part in group exercise classes, cardio training, weight training, strength training, Pilates, Zumba, Bodypump, and use a cardio gym with treadmills, ellipticals, and rowers. Additional focused camps include basketball, baseball, football using flag football, tennis, pickleball, lap and recreational swimming, and dance options that cover ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop, and hip-hop.
• Ages: 3–17 years old
• Schedule: Summer options run in weekly sessions Monday–Friday, with choices such as morning Mini Camp (9:00 am–12:30 pm), afternoon Mini Camp Plus (12:30 pm–4:00 pm), and full-day camps like Gym Camp, Kids Sports and Fitness Camp, Total Sports and Fitness Camp, and Junior Counselor Camp (9:00 am–4:00 pm), plus specialty sports and dance camps in 2–3 hour blocks.
Mini Camp is described as a socialization adventure that introduces the youngest campers to their first full experience of summer camp fun and uses a kiddie pool that is 1 foot deep. All Mini Campers must arrive in their swimsuits and be toilet trained, and 5-year-olds in Mini Camp have never been in a daycare or school setting, while 5-year-olds in Gym Camp have been in a daycare or school setting before the start of this program. All Gym Camp and Kids Sports and Fitness Camp campers must arrive in their swimsuits, and Total Sports and Fitness Camp ends the day with a dip in the Olympic swimming pool.
Junior Counselor Camp’s stated goal is to motivate, challenge, and provide a fun and fulfilling summer experience for teens, and it gives experience in implementing camp lesson plans, activities, and operations while teaching work and life skills such as responsibility, dependability, and accountability. Basketball, Mini Basketball, Baseball, T-Ball, Dance, Mini Dance, and Football Camps state that all skill levels are welcome. T-Ball Camp recommends bringing personal equipment such as gloves and helmets, Dance and Mini Dance Camps recommend comfy dance clothes, socks, and a water bottle with optional dance shoes, and Football Camp recommends personal safety equipment such as helmets and guards.
Dance Camp introduces four types of dance: ballet, jazz, modern, and hip hop, and Mini Dance Camp introduces ballet, jazz, modern, and hip-hop and emphasizes rhythm, style, and personal expression. Football Camp focuses on flag football and includes shooting, passing, control, field position, and tactics. TCC Summer Camps are described as “where kids become legends” and as “your child’s ultimate transformation.”
For almost 50 years, The Claremont Club has emphasized an active community and extensive fitness offerings and is referred to as the local’s resort. The club offers tennis lessons and clinics for daytime or evening play, dedicated personal trainers, private and duet reformer sessions in a private Pilates studio, and group exercise classes that include Zumba and Bodypump. Children’s programming in kidscourt allows members to work out knowing that their child is safe and happy there.
The Claremont Club states that it believes community, fitness, and fun are essential for happiness, and its mission is to bring the best of health and wellness to its community through group exercise classes, social events, charity projects, personal training, and more.
