Theatre Experience of Southern California

Theatre Experience of Southern California is a musical theatre program where participants rehearse and perform in a large musical theatre production. The program includes musical theatre, voice training, dance training, and acting technique training. All shows are child friendly.

• Schedule: 14 weeks of rehearsal followed by production week rehearsals and performances

Theatre Experience of Southern California has been providing extracurricular musical theatre opportunities since 1993. The Claremont program began in 1995, and the Glendale/Pasadena program opened in 1999.

The program offers participants the opportunity to become part of the cast of a large musical theatre production on a non-threatening, non-competitive basis, with all children who register becoming part of the cast and receiving training in voice, dance and acting technique. Participation assists students with concentration, comprehension, focusing skills, while building the self-esteem and self-confidence of the child.

Claremont serves the communities of Chino, Chino Hills, Claremont, Covina, Montclair, Ontario, Pomona, San Dimas, Upland, West Covina and surrounding areas. Glendale/Pasadena serves the communities of Arcadia, Burbank, Duarte, Glendale, La Canada-Flintridge, La Crescenta, Monrovia, Montrose, Pasadena, Verdugo and surrounding areas. Theatre Experience of Southern California facilitates the opportunity for teachers to provide an experience for their students by attending a live performance, and both areas provide this opportunity. New participants can attend one open rehearsal free with no obligation in the Claremont program. All shows are child friendly.
